As work on AllianceKeeper 2.0 progresses, we thought we’d bring you up to date on some of the features that we’re packing into this release.

  • Account Creation via Invitation – When a new character is created, staff has the opportunity to send an invite for the player to create an account. This is optional, and everything will still work if it isn’t used, either by staff or by the player, but doing so will allow…
  • Linking Accounts to Characters – A user account can be linked to any number of Character accounts. When they log in, they will see a panel with their current information, as well as some basic information about their alliance. If they have multiple characters, they will all be listed here, along with information about their Alliance.
  • Access to Features Based on Alliance Role – If a character is listed as the commander of an alliance, their user account will be able to assign officers, transfer characters from other alliances, set alliance specific information and more. If a character is listed as an officer or the commander, they will be able to create wars and raids, and enter scores for their alliance. If a player leaves as an officer, simply remove them from the officer list, and their access will be restricted immediately.
  • LINE Messenger Integration – AllianceKeeper maintains a LINE Bot that will act as an interface between AllianceKeeper and LINE. Users can associate themselves with an account on AllianceKeeper and get their stats, or see if they have a message waiting (see below). Other functions will be available as well.
  • Messaging System – Each account will have a messaging account with AllianceKeeper that will let them send and receive messages to their Officers and Commander as well as other players. This was added mostly because the messaging system in Earth Wars is extraordinarily bad.
  • Simpler Method of Entering Scores – When you create a War, all characters in your alliance will be given a war score entry, defaulted to N/P (No participation) Score entry will be as simple as tabbing through the alliance members and entering score. The same will be true with Raids, and *possibly* Events, but Events will have to be a bit different, to account for visiting players, and transfers for LB events and such.
  • Player Entered Base Indexes – Players will be able to enter their own Base Index information, and update it, as well as upload screenshots of their base. This will help players keep track of what they need to work on, and also help them (and command) to see how they’ve grown.
  • War Opponent Entries – When a War is created, you will be able to select the opposing alliance from a list, or add a new one. This will let a family see all the wars that have been fought against a specific alliance, regardless of the alliance that was in the war.
  • Better Database and Backend System – One of the known issues with AllianceKeeper 1 was database locking. The backend system was not prepared for a number of people working on it at the same time. AllianceKeeper 2 was rebuilt from the ground up, with a more robust database, as well as a much more modular design that will allow us to expand to support other games, as well as add new features more easily.
  • Much, Much More – We are still taking suggestions for enhancements to AllianceKeeper 2.0 and we look forward to hearing from you!

I certainly plan to be available, and I’m going to try to make it as user friendly as possible.
